Injury Yin and Yang: Texans and Lions

Part II of the Post-Game Breakdown still to come, I promise. In the meantime, your Houston Texans welcome one Willie Dunta Robinson back to practice tomorrow. No, no...you don't need to thank me. I'm sure the "original" ditty I penned him had nothing to do with it.

Seriously though...I've gone on record as saying that I think we need to severely temper our expectations for Dunta this season (assuming he even plays on Sunday against the Lions, which I'd guess is fairly unlikely, given that he's only returning to practice four (4) days before the game). An injury of the severity he suffered doesn't lend itself to someone bouncing back less than a year after it was encountered, even if that someone is a certified bad mamma jamma like Dunta. I fully expect him to be a step slow, though Dunta a step slow is still better than any other DB on the roster.

If you're looking for another reason not to rush Dunta back, I give you this. What does this mean for Texan fans? It means that Dan Orlovsky should be starting for the opposition on Sunday. Anytime something happens that results in a guy dubbed "The Dumbest QB Ever" getting the starting nod against your team that week, you take it. Especially if you're 1-4.
