In what should come as a surprise to no one (particularly after Kalu was interviewed after the last game of the season on 610 and made it clear he didn't want to play anywhere else), DE N.D. Kalu has re-upped with your Houston Texans. I'm a big Kalu guy. As I said this time last year, I think his influence on the youngsters around him is worth just as much as what he does on Sundays.
More importantly, this continues the trend of Smithiak taking care of their own. I'm no expert, but I would have to think the team's pattern of re-signing those who have played well here would go a long way toward keeping a positive environment in the locker room.
