Open Game Day Thread: Houston v. Pittsburgh

I'm ecstatic to report that I'm typing this from the Steel City, getting ready to watch your Houston Texans tangle with the Steelers in a few short hours. How did I manage to get myself to Pittsburgh for the season opener, you ask? Relatively easily. The good buddy (a native of Somerset, Pennsylvania) I referred to here made me a wager before last season began. He swore up and down that Ben Roethlisberger would finish in the Top Five QBs in the NFL for the following four (4) categories: (1) Wins, (2) Passing Yards, (3) QB Rating, and (4) TDs. I was not a believer, and thus a wager was born: If Big Ben finished in the Top Five for all of the aforementioned categories, I would purchase his ticket to HOU-PIT. If Roethlisberger did not, my friend would buy my ticket to HOU-PIT. Lo and behold, I won; candy from a baby. Consequently, I'm typing this entry from beautiful Pittsburgh, PA (which I'll have much more to say about in my Post-Game Breakdown).

Until then, let's kick 2008 off with all of the pomp and circumstance it deserves. Your Houston Texans face the unenviable task of opening their season by defeating a team that damn near never loses at home. But we keep the faith. With that in mind, leave your pre-game, in-game, and post-game thoughts, observations, and heresy in the Comments below. Most importantly...GO TEXANS!
