Owen Daniels Close To Returning
According to a text message from Daniels to FOX 26 Sports, he is close to getting back on the field. "Scan and MRI say I'm 100%. Going to Alabama to see Dr. Andrews (Wednesday)." If Andrews gives the okay, Daniels is cleared to return to practice, but is not expected to see action in any preseason games. Even as early as Monday, Gary Kubiak said in a radio interview that Week 1 would be the earliest in-game action OD will likely see. Still, Daniels hasn't suffered any setbacks, and this is of course great news. UPDATE: It appears Dr. Andrews has cleared OD. Per Nick Scurfield: Great news on TE Owen Daniels: "Owen's been cleared. He's totally healthy," coach Gary Kubiak said. He expects Daniels to be back on the practice field next week and play in Week 1 vs Indy. He won't play vs TB next Thursday. Andre Johnson on O.D.: "That's big. I'm very excited about it. He's a big part of our offense... He's been busting his butt (to get back)." Great news, indeed.
