With The Fourth Pick Of The 2011 BRB Mock Draft, The Cincinnati Bengals Select...

The floor is yours, ez91. Who's the newest Bengal for the purpose of our mock draft?

Von Miller (DE/OLB--Texas A&M).

The selection of Miller will provide the Bengals with an explosive pass rusher to bolster their pass rush. He is clearly the best player available. Mike Zimmer will be happy with this pick, which will allow them to move Rey Maualuga to inside linebacker and utilize Miller's special skill set, like Brian Orakpo was used in his first year as a hybrid 4-3 DE/OLB. With Antwan Odom's inconsistency and inability to stay healthy, the Bengals need a threat on the outside to consistently get pressure off the edge.

A.J. Green, DaQuan Bowers, Prince Amukamara, and Robert Quinn were considered but with Jerome Simpson, Jordan Shipley, and Jermaine Gresham emerging last year, plus Chad Ochocinco under contract, picking a WR isn't a priority. In terms of QB, the team is prepared to go with a Palmer at quarterback or possibly get Jake Locker in the second round. With Johnathan Joseph a free-agent-to-be, CB could be the pick, but Miller's status as best player available makes him the choice here.

In a somewhat related story, the Arizona Cardinals, via their fake front office of southpaw70 and The Night Owl, are now on the clock.
