Mark Berman managed to score an exclusive interview with Mario Williams as Super Mario prepares to come back to the city where he spent the first six (6) years of his professional career. The whole article is worth a read, as it's packed with gems like this:

"I didn't want to enter free agency in the first place, but it was a one-way door given to me by the GM to leave Houston, " Williams told FOX 26 Sports. "I want the fans there to know entering free agency was not my decision."

So Mario is saying the Texans never even gave him an opportunity to return? Even for less money? I'm not buying it.

"The way things ended, I definitely feel like it was kind of a rough and all-of-the-sudden goodbye. There's some things that I'm definitely uneasy about, the final decision making that happened there. It was just the way it was handled."

Huh? All of a sudden? What was sudden about it? Once free agency started, who among you was surprised that Mario Williams signed elsewhere? Anyone? Anyone?

Williams is aware of the fact that Texans defensive end Antonio Smith has gone public with his goal of trying to have some fun with him this week by getting under his skin.

"He's been trying, but honestly if I can't get riled up by myself I'm not in the right business, especially in this position coming back and playing against the team that I started off with."

Across Western New York, Bills fans silently fume. On the plus side, it looks like Mario's pilot light will get lit this week. He's gonna be good and riled up! Next week, when the Bills play the Patriots? Rile-fire extinguished.

And Williams said he is not concerned with how Texans fans respond to him during the game.

"I really don't care," Williams said. "I really don't pay too much attention to that, besides the fact I definitely appreciate the support and I also appreciate the hate."

"I don't really care what Texans fans think of me. Except that I do. And if you hate me, you're going to get so burned by my rile-fire."

Oh, Mario. Why couldn't you just say that you're excited to come back to Houston, to see your old teammates, that it's a big game because Buffalo needs a win, and thank the fans for their support during your time here? Why do you have to say stuff like this? It's not good for your look.
