Early in the second quarter, Houston Texans linebacker Brian Cushing suffered a left knee injury that forced him off the field and to the locker room. The play-in-question that hurt Cushing? New York Jets guard Matt Slauson undercut Cushing from his blind side. There has been an on-going debate whether it was clean or not, but that is for the film review to discuss.

The good news is that Cushing did walk off the field and to the locker room under his own power, but he did have a noticeable limp. Cushing, obviously, did not return to the game after this injury.

After the game, Houston head coach Gary Kubiak said, "We're very concerned [about Cushing], but I don't want to jump the gun. We'll sit here and hope for the best."

Traditionally, injury status is updated during Kubiak's day-after press conference. We will update this StoryStream as we learn more about Cushing's injury and status for next Sunday night's game against Green Bay.
