Tonight is a big night. I'm sure you all feel the anticipation as much as I do.

Yes, tonight the Florida Panthers look to recapture home ice advantage against the New Jersey Devils. After being unable to overcome a shaky first period in game one, the Cats dominated play for the first two periods of game 2 and held on for... wait... oh... I see.... football........ my bad.

Yes, tonight the NFL releases its schedule in a three hour network spectacular that will likely outdraw the aforementioned NHL playoff game, and this thread is your place to discuss said spectacular.

While there have been various "leaked" schedules, there are a few rumors that have me legitimately intrigued. Specifically, I'm downright giddy about the idea of having a Thanksgiving Day game in Detroit.

I'm also curious as to how many primetime games the Texans will get. One would logically expect last year's success to lead to more nationally televised games, but, at the same time, you have to consider that these same schedule makers saw fit to give the Jaguars two Monday Night games last season.

Though, I have to admit, as an eastern-time-zoner with an early morning wake up call, I'm less thrilled about Monday Night games.

Still, we're only a few hours away from eliminating all the uncertainty.

And if you're not into the NHL Playoffs, I recommend giving them a go. They're oodles of fun. If you don't have a team, might I recommend the Panthers? They're the Texans of the NHL -- they've endured over a decade of futility before finally returning to the playoffs this season -- and have plenty of seats available on the bandwagon.
