DeVier Posey Talks With SB Nation At The NFL Rookie Premiere

The air is considerably more stifling in Houston in July.
The air is considerably more stifling in Houston in July.

A few days ago, we had a post discussing SB Nation's role in the NFL Rookie Premiere. That partnership is already bearing fruit for BRB, thanks to SB Nation's ability to sit down and chat with DeVier Posey. The full interview will be up on SB Nation's YouTube channel later, but some selected quotes await you after the jump to whet your appetite.

So sayeth DeVier...

On Houston: "Everyone tells me I'll love the city but it's hot. They had the hottest camp last season. They had a week full of 105, so...I gotta get prepared for that."

On the Texans: "Great people all the way down to the towel guys. Everyone is happy and already smiling and in a good mood. Its an organization I get a good feeling about and it puts me in a good mood to be there."

On the offense: "I'm always open to catching balls, to an offense that passes and just to be bale to look at the playbook and get a week of minicamp. To understand the concepts, I really like it."

On the coaching staff: "Coach Kubiak is a laid back guy but he's also really demanding and meticulous. I just want to make sure I don't want to be on his bad side, and be the first person to show up and the last person to leave."

On being a No. 2 in Houston: "My goal is to reach my ceiling as a player. I want to come in and make sure I grind every day, in the weight room and do maintenance on my hands and my body. I want to develop into the best player I can be and if that's the No. 2 receiver on the team then that's what it is."
