Quoth The Raven, "Fumble More": Jacoby Jones Signs With Baltimore

Again, because I don't want to show the Jacoby Jones fumble in Baltimore. I did link to it in the post, though, if you're sick like that.

A thousand apologies for the headline. I couldn't resist.

The Baltimore Ravens just made the curious decision to sign Jacoby Jones to a two-year deal worth $7,000,000.00. I understand that they had unknown commodities at WR behind Torrey Smith and Anquan Boldin, but I can't help but think they overpaid for a guy to be their WR3 and presumably their punt returner. Then again, that stance could be a result of my disbelief that Jacoby Jones can be a consistently productive wide receiver in the NFL in any offense, and that a deal that averages $3.5 mil per year (we don't know the guaranteed dollars, so that figure could be very misleading) is an awful lot to pay a punt returner.

Unless, of course, this is merely Baltimore's way of saying thanks to Jakespeare for his noble contribution to the Ravens' 2011 postseason efforts.

By making that last lame joke/allusion to an absurd conspiracy theory, I'd like to think I saved us from multiple versions of it in the Comments. Admittedly, I'm probably wrong.
