Texans Release Javarris Williams In Wake Of Justin Forsett Signing

In the wake of Justin Forsett signing with your Houston Texans last weekend, the team's decision to waive Javarris Williams is hardly a surprise. I know some Texans fans were high on Williams, and he could still catch on somewhere, but Forsett's a more proven commodity and is does not cost a fortune. Barring injury, a complete meltdown by Forsett in training camp, or revelatory play by another young RB, Forsett's arrival made probably made every other RB not named Arian Foster or Ben Tate expendable.

Consequently, Kubes can say that Justin Forsett is competing with Davin Meggett and Johnathan Grimes for that third RB spot; it's still almost surely Forsett's to lose. Not to say someone could not wow the Texans in training camp and push the veteran out (it does happen from time to time), but Foster/Tate/Forsett is the overwhelmingly likely RB troika for your 2012 Houston Texans, and I think that's a very, very good thing.
