It’s July, so you know what time it is: Fantasy Football Time!

Clearly, I have already lost the interest of
Houston Texans running back Arian Foster, but I likely hold the attention of the tens and tens of readers here. If that's you, jump and find out how you can participate in one of the blog-wide leagues.

Last year, there were, to my knowledge, three fantasy leagues ran here. I’m sure there were more…three seems low for football-obsessed fans.

To my knowledge, one has returned for 2012: the classic, long-running Battle Red Blog league. Twelve managers have returned to vie for that coveted fantasy trophy. I do not know if this league will expand. I suppose it doesn’t matter since SBNation and Battle Red Blog will open another Yahoo! League for us. Right. Now.

The league’s a first come, first serve operation set for 16 participants. I strongly encourage those to join who will keep up with the league on a regular basis. Don't be that guy (or gal) who doesn't show up for the draft or forgets to set your league. No one likes that guy...the gal gets away with it because, let's face it, guys will let girls who talk sports slide. Seriously though, if you don't think you'll keep up with it then don't sign up. Fantasy football is serious business.

Once we get 16, I can fine-tune any of the settings to the league’s majority rule. The draft is tentatively scheduled for the Monday after preseason week 3, but that’s also negotiable when we’ve got the full 16.

Sign up information is below. Once in the league, post a message on the league homepage to let everyone know who is behind your brilliant and clever team name.

Use the comments to talk fantastical trash or set up many other fantasy and pick ‘em leagues…the more the merrier!
