Have you ever wanted a shot at winning your dream job in sports social media? Here’s your chance – XFINITY is launching a nationwide contest to find the next sports social media star to serve as the voice of XFINITY behind-the-scenes at the biggest sporting events nationwide in 2013.
XFINITY is looking for the next voice of XFINITY Sports. The Ultimate Sports Social Media Job, presented by XFINITY, provides fans with the opportunity to become the next sports social media star. The winner will share behind-the-scenes stories and news with more than 15,000 followers from the biggest sporting events over the next year.
Applicants are asked to create a short video and statement detailing why they should be the next person to take over the @XFINITYSports handle. Eight (8) semi-finalists will be catapulted to the next round based on their outstanding submissions, but the final two semi-finalist spots will be awarded to two (2) of ten (10) Wild Card contestants. Fans will have the opportunity to vote for one of the ten Wild Cards and to send that contestant on to the next round. Once selected, the skills of the 10 semi-finalists will be put to the test in a full scale social media evaluation at XFINITY Live! in Philadelphia. The top scoring five contestants will then receive the opportunity to visit an XFINITY partner team to act as a reporter and share their experience with their fans.
