Texans-Bengals, Houston Leads AFC Wild Card Game 9-7 At Halftime (Open Thread)

The first half of the first Wild Card game of the weekend is in the books. This is your third quarter open thread for Cincinnati-Houston.

You cannot help but feel both frustrated and at peace right now if you are a Houston Texans fan.

The peaceful part? The Texans are moving the ball and the defense has earned its Bulls On Parade nickname back. The Texans have outgained the Cincinnati Bengals 250 to 53 yards with a 14 to 4 advantage on first downs over the Bengals. Running back Arian Foster, in particular, has been outstanding with 86 yards on 16 carries. Also doing a great job? Cornerback Johnathan Joseph who has shut down Cincinnati wide receiving stud A.J. Green.

The frustration? The Texans only have three Shayne Graham field goals (22, 27, and 48 yards) to show for their offensive domination. Furthermore, Cincinnati cornerback Leon Hall made a great jump on a Matt Schaub pass and returned it for six points.

Yes, there is frustration in the air, but your Houston Texans have a 9-7 lead, still, and control of this AFC Wild Card match-up. This is your third quarter open thread. Use the comments at will.
