Welcome to another episode of "The Quarterback Game" with your host Toro. This week our guest is head coach of the Houston Texans, Gary Kubiak. Gary is set in his ways, loves his "guys', and likes long walks on the beach. Coach Kubiak unfortunately is on the market once again after seven years in a committed relationship with Matt Schaub. He is looking for a quarterback that will not turn the ball over, not stand in the pocket like a statue, and get the ball out quickly to the Texans' dynamic playmakers.
Now let's meet our quarterbacks, Matt Schaub from Virginia, T.J. Yates from North Carolina, and Case Keenum from Houston. Schaub is looking for one more shot as the Texans quarterback. Yates has been waiting in the wings since his 2011 playoff run. Case Keenum is a mystery that University of Houston fans have been clamoring for. Now on to the questions, Gary.
Kubiak: Have you thrown a pick-six this season?
Schaub: (Puts his head down and rubs it with a gatorade towel)
Yates: Do interceptions against the Rams count?
Toro: Yes T.J., they do.
Yates: Okay, never mind. (Yates begins to color a coloring book for no reason.)
Keenum: I haven't thrown a pick-six, or an interception for that matter, this season.
Toro: Alright, next question Gary.
Kubiak: How would you describe your running style as a quarterback?
Schaub: Slow and steady.
Yates: (Yates ignores the question, continues to color.)
Keenum: I'm no Johnny Manziel, but I think of myself as sneaky quick.
Toro: Okay Gary, time to choose. Who will it be?
Kubiak: It was a tough decision but I'm going to pick Case.
Toro: There you have it, folks. Coach Kubiak's last hope is a Case Keenum.
I think it's official that at this point., the Texans' losing streak has led me to madness. I'm making "The Dating Game" jokes. Either way, here are some stats for this week's match-up between the Houston Texans and the Kansas City Chiefs.
