Who will step up at right tackle for the Texans in Newton's absence?

You won't see Derek Newton taking any snaps until at least training camp.

Nick Scurfield confirms what many of us figured, given the severity of Derek Newton's injury/surgery:

"Newton’s gonna miss the whole (spring) offseason," Texans coach Gary Kubiak said in his office at Reliant Stadium on Monday. "We’ve got a great opportunity, I guess is the best way to put it, for a young player to come in and see if he can step out there and help us early. (Williams) is gonna get a great chance, and of course we get (Quessenberry) in the sixth round."

Given the unpredictable nature of how people respond to rehab after surgery, there wouldn't appear to be any guarantee that Newton is ready to go without any constraints come training camp. Even when he does return, it's not like Newton was so spectacular at right tackle last year that he'd immediately reclaim his starting gig.

Thus, I ask you, BRB...who's starting at right tackle come Week One of the 2013 regular season when your Houston Texans play the Chargers on Monday Night Football? Vote in the poll and expand on your decision in the Comments below.
