PUT YOUR NAME ON IT: Projecting The Houston Texans' 53-Man Roster

With training camp beginning, take a shot at making your initial projection of the players who'll make the Houston Texans' 53-man roster entering Week One of the 2013 regular season.

Bold is the soul who says Andy Cruse makes the Texans' 53-man roster.

We're long overdue for a purely speculative exercise here on BRB (to the extent such exercises do not permeate the very being of this site every day). Last year, thanks to the generous spirit of Barryfromtexas, we had awesome prizes in the form of football jerseys for getting closest to correctly guessing the initial 53-man roster. Alas, this year we have no such prizes. It's all for pride. And I suppose I'll buy you a cocktail of your choice at the next BRBAPALOOZA if you get closest to the pin. It ain't an Andre Johnson jersey, that's for sure.

Here's a link to the Texans' roster on the team's official site. Note that it needs a tweak or two to reflect the final two rookie signings yesterday and the move of Sam Montgomery to the NFI list, though those developments wouldn't affect your roster projection, I imagine.

Yes, I'm giving you a clue. You should probably include D.J. Swearinger, Brennan Williams, and Sam Montgomery on your final 53. I've basically just done all the work for you. Now you only have to get the other 50 names.

With that said, PUT YOUR NAME ON IT, BRB. Leave your first guess at the Texans' final 53-man roster entering Week One in the Comments below.
