Before we get started, today is an important day on the NFL calendar. Teams must reduce their active roster down 75 players. Former agent Joel Corry walks us through the day for a player and an agent. It's a good place to start before we talk about roster cuts.
Houston Texans News
Keenum to get first shot in Dallas.
HoustonTexans.com's Deepi Sidhu reports that Case Keenum will get the start against the Cowboys in the Texans' final preseason game. I wouldn't read too much into it, as Coach Kubiak has flipped the starting order of his backup quarterbacks multiple times this preseason.
Sidhu also notes that DeVier Posey may have a chance to play in the final preseason game after seven months on the self after Achilles surgery. Whitney Mercilus will return to practice today, but it may be too soon for any action before the start of the regular season.

#ReedWatch hopefully is in its final throes.
The Texans are still waiting on word if they will have 9-time Pro-Bowler Ed Reed ball-hawking against the Chargers. Reed will travel to Colorado to visit the surgeon that preformed the operation, and then continue rehabilitation in Atlanta. The Texans are hoping to find out the answer soon after the Texans' game in Dallas on Thursday.
In the meantime, Reed is already doing a good job getting the team hyped up for the game.

Foster refreshed.
Arian Foster sat down with Peter King to talk about his road back from injury this preseason.
"My body feels great," Foster told TheMMQB.com's Peter King. "I actually think all this time (off) might help."
Foster may be right. He carried the ball 351 times last season.
