Ed Reed has opined that today's tilt between the Seattle Seahawks and Houston Texans could be "a potential Super Bowl matchup." Reed is right, in that the game at Reliant Stadium this afternoon does feature a team from the NFC and a team from the AFC. Based on the Texans' performance the first three weeks of the 2013 regular season, however, that's where the talk of a potential Super Bowl appearance for the Texans should end.
Fortunately, there are still another 13 games in the regular season to go, and the Texans undoubtedly have enough talent on the roster to play into February if they start firing on all cylinders. A win over what may be the best team in the NFL right now would go a long way toward justifying Reed's analysis. Time to see what the Texans are made of.
This is your first open thread for Seahawks-Texans. Let's do this thing.
