Ed Reed is unlikely to play in Houston's Monday night opener against the Chargers, according to a source with the Texans.
Reed's purported pledge to Andre Johnson that he'd be ready for Week 1 aside, this shouldn't be surprising to Texans fans. Coming off hip surgery, Reed just got back on the practice field a couple of days ago, so it stands to reason that he won't be ready on Monday night.
Get ready for Shiloh Keo, starting safety, in San Diego on Monday night.
