As expected, Romeo Crennel has agreed to become the new defensive coordinator of your Houston Texans. I believe Jason La Canfora had it first:

Today's Newswire has a link to an ESPN story about the hire, but I wanted a separate post up so BRB could react to Bill O'Brien naming Crennel his DC in a designated space. Before I leave you to do just that, a few interesting tweets from Seth Payne yesterday:

Two other factors concerning Crennel's DE sacks 1. Hasn't had many pass rushers 2. A lot more nickel these days. Scheme less important
