A report came out yesterday that Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel had decided on an agent, so this is simply the other shoe:
To be clear, Manziel has officially submitted declaration papers to #NFL for inclusing in 2014 draft, part of record 80 underclassmen.

If you hadn't already, prepare yourself for a solid four months of "THE TEXANS NEED TO DRAFT JOHNNY FOOTBALL!" talk. Before you dismiss the idea entirely, I would encourage you to take a gander at The Sideline View's current Big Board. If John Harris truly thinks Manziel is currently the best player in the entire draft, it's enough to give me pause; Harris isn't some dude who watches a few YouTube highlight clips and declares himself a draftnik. He watches the film. Allllllllllll the film.
My bias aside, I watched a fair amount of A&M games this year, and I thought Johnny Manziel was noticeably better as a passer this year than he was during his Heisman Trophy winning campaign in 2012. Frankly, Manziel was a better all-around player this year than he was last year, and that's saying something. My concerns about how he'd handle adjusting to NFL defenses that he can't out-quick and the potential off-the-field distractions remain, but I don't rule him out as an option for the Texans.
Nevertheless, I still prefer Teddy Bridgewater at No. 1, which matters none, as I am not the one making the decision and the 2014 NFL Draft does not start today. I now turn it over to you in the Comments.
