Thursday Night Football Open Thread: New York Jets v. New England Patriots

Tonight on Thursday Night Football, the Jets (1-5) head to New England to play the Patriots (4-2). Take off your pants, kick off yourshoes, and talk about the game as it happens in real time in Battle Red Blog's open game thread.

It's Thursday, and that means it's time for NFL football played on an obscure night that nobody even enjoys watching or playing. Tonight the Jets (1-5) play the Patriots (4-2) in New England. When these two teams get together, wild and zany things can occur.

Enjoy the game, everyone. Have fun watching Tom Brady scream like a teenager exploding in angst after he throws a touchdown pass to Rob Gronkowski, Geno Smith's luscious nostrils and bone-headed mistakes in HD, that maniacal Jets defensive line, (P.S.:  I love Muhammad Wilkerson), Chris Johnson bounce runs outside for two yards because he's afraid to run through the tackles, Julian Edelman attack the middle of the field with slants and crosses like his mentor used to, the controversy that is the Pats' offensive line, and listening to Phil Simms and Jim Nantz spew nonsense that makes one want to impale their television with their remote.

Kickoff is at 7:25 CDT. Remember, usual open thread rules still apply.
