As fans, it's extraordinarily easy to forget that the teams we so passionately follow are comprised of and led by human beings who have lives away from the field. Sometimes, it's good to be reminded that athletes and coaches deal with things considerably more important than what we witness for a few hours on a given day. Actually, I'll take it a step further: Sometimes, it's good for all of us to remember there are things considerably more important than sports, no matter how much we love them.
