A week after making his return to the lineup, things seem to be trending toward Jadeveon Clowney missing Sunday's game against the Eagles. Drew Dougherty with the report:
The outside linebacker returned to game action in Week 8 against the Titans after missing the previous six games with a knee injury. Head coach Bill O'Brien was asked about the likelihood of Clowney being active against the Eagles, and he wasn't optimistic.
"I don't know," O'Brien said. "I wouldn't say it looks very good for him playing Sunday."
O'Brien added, however, that Clowney would get checked again on Saturday and "will be a gametime decision like it was last Sunday."
On Friday's game status report, Clowney was listed as questionable because of a knee injury and an illness.
Another of the Texans' starting linebackers, Brian Cushing, was positive about his progress and the possibility of returning to the the field on Sunday.
"It felt good today."- ILB Brian Cushing practiced today. Said he doesn't know yet if he will play Sunday.
