These two teams are on very opposite ends of the hot/cold spectrum right now.
The Cardinals have struggled lately. They've lost two of their last three games (3-19 @ Seattle and 18-29 @ Atlanta), and are struggling to put up points in Carson Palmer's absence. They're arguably the most injured team in the league, with 5+ starters on injured reserve and two more listed as questionable or out for tonight's game. Despite those struggles, Arizona is still tied for the best record in football and in possession of a one-game lead in the NFC West.
The Rams, on the other hand, are on fire. They've won three of their last four (22-7 vs. Denver, 52-0 vs. Oakland, 24-0 @ Washington), they've outscored their opponents 98-7 in those three wins, and they haven't allowed a point since the 4th quarter of their game against the Chargers in Week 12. At 6-7, they won't be making the playoffs, but they're a scary team that would probably love nothing more than to throw a wrench into the NFC West standings over the last 3 weeks of the season.
