While the Houston Texans would not technically be eliminated from playoff contention with a loss to the Colts in Indianapolis this afternoon, their chance of grabbing one of the two wild card berths in the AFC would be virtually nil. A Colts win today would give them the AFC South, so a wild card would be the Texans' only route to the postseason. As has been covered at length, there are currently four (4) other teams with a record of 7-6 and three more teams sitting at 8-5. For all practical purposes, Houston can't lose again and expect to keep pace.
