New, comments

The Houston Texans went 9-7 in 2014, a huge improvement over the disaster that was 2013. Like every NFL team, they now have a lot of decisions to make about the players who'll be free agents. Check out who could be leaving Houston this offseason.

The offseason has officially begun for 20 of the NFL's 32 teams, which means decisions on free agency are looming. Thanks to Over The Cap, here's a complete list of the current players on the Houston Texans' roster who are scheduled to become free agents in March.  Note that these players are not ranked by value to the team; OTC ranked 'em by average salary per year under their current contracts (which are expiring, naturally).

1. Kareem Jackson (CB)--Unrestricted Free Agent
2. Brooks Reed (OLB)--Unrestricted Free Agent
3. Ryan Pickett (NT)--Unrestricted Free Agent
4. Tim Jamison (DE)--Unrestricted Free Agent
5. Danieal Manning (S)--Unrestricted Free Agent
6. Kendrick Lewis (S)--Unrestricted Free Agent
7. Ryan Mallett (QB)--Unrestricted Free Agent
8. Akeem Dent (ILB)--Unrestricted Free Agent
9. Jerrell Powe (NT)--Unrestricted Free Agent
10. Jeff Tarpinian (ILB)--Restricted Free Agent
11. Derek Newton (RT)--Unrestricted Free Agent
12. Case Keenum (QB)--Exclusive Rights Free Agent
13. Damaris Johnson (WR)--Restricted Free Agent
14. Cody White (G)--Restricted Free Agent

Which of those players can the Texans least afford to lose? Or, on the other end of the spectrum, are there any players you believe the Texans should let walk without a fight?
