When an athlete goes to see Dr. James Andrews, it is usually a sign that things are not going well physically. That appears to be the case for Jadeveon Clowney, the first player selected in the 2014 NFL Draft. News is breaking now that Clowney will require another surgery to repair the knee that was injured in the first game of the 2014 regular season.
You have a multi-billion dollar business with million-dollar investments and you can't fix turf that has hurt the latter for years?— Rivers McCown (@riversmccown) December 4, 2014
Rivers said it before I could. It is an absolute tragedy that a crappy playing surface likely prematurely ended the rookie season for a game-changing player in whom the Texans invested their precious first overall draft pick. Let's hope Clowney gets the best treatment possible and returns to be all we need him to be in 2015 and beyond. Sound off below with your rants and lamentations.
