Houston Texans Injury News: Garrett Graham Out Sunday, Kareem Jackson Expected To Play

The official inactive list won't be out until just before kickoff on Sunday, but news broke today that Garrett Graham will be inactive against the Jaguars due to an ankle injury. On a positive note, the Texans should welcome back one of their starting cornerbacks.

Yesterday we got the news that Jadeveon Clowney will miss the rest of the season as the Texans placed him on injured reserve to undergo another knee surgery.  Today we learn out that Garrett Graham will not suit up for Sunday's game against Jacksonville due to an ankle injury he sustained early in the previous game against the Titans.

Earlier this week, the Texans moved tight end Anthony Denham up to the active roster from the practice squad when they placed linebacker Max Bullough on injured reserve.  Expect Denham to be limited mostly to special teams Sunday, while Ryan Griffin and C.J. Fiedorowicz should handle the tight end snaps on offense.

Danieal Manning is dealing with a hamstring issue and is listed as questionable heading into the weekend, but the good news from today's report is that Kareem Jackson (knee) has been upgraded to "probable" as the Texans prepare for the Jaguars.

With respect to injuries, the Texans are in better overall shape than most NFL teams at this point in the year, but the last few weeks have been unfavorable, with the team losing QB Ryan Mallett and OLB Jadeveon Clowney for the remainder of this season.  Let's hope this is the last of the injury bug for the final stretch.
