Texans-Jaguars Inactives: The Street Clothes Edition

Texans fans, we got word that our 1.1 has been shut down for the season with a second surgery to repair a meniscus injury, so we know he'll be out when we take on the Glitter Kitties today. Who else will be watching the game in street clothes? Keep reading to find out.

One of these owners has seen his team turn around. The other has the most magnificent mustache in the NFL.

The first overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, OLB Jadeveon Clowney (knee), injured himself in his first regular season NFL game, had surgery, attempted to resume his rookie season several times, and was finally shut down this week to allow a clean-up surgery and a full recovery. That's kind of depressing, because the hope was that Clowney would take pressure off DE J.J. Watt and would help overcome our offensive deficiencies by producing a defense that was stalwart against the run and the pass. Instead, our defense has missed Clowney for much of the season, missed ILB Brian Cushing (knee) for several games due to recurring knee issues stemming from two season-ending injuries in a row, missed CB Kareem Jackson (knee) for three games due to an MCL sprain, and seen a series of WTF?-ness from our depleted ILB corps and DB corps. Even so, we stand 6-6 and ready to face our long-time flight-canceling rivals in Jacksonville today.

With all that said, OB is going to find 46 warm bodies to activate for today's game. WR DeVier Posey (coach's disdain) will not be one of them, though. Neither will TE Garrett Graham (ankle).

On the Mothership's Friday injury report, S Danieal Manning (hamstring)--the other Manning brother--was listed as questionable, which may bring into questions about our return game if he can't go. On the other hand, the Mothership felt comfortable in listing T Tyson Clabo (foot), ILB Cushing (knee), TE Anthony Denham (illness), ILB Akeem Dent (neck), RB Arian Foster (groin), RB Jonathan Grimes (ankle), CB Kareem Jackson (knee), WR Andre Johnson (not injury related), CB Johnathan Joseph (ankle), P Shane Lechler (biceps), T Derek Newton (knee), NT Ryan Pickett (back), and ILB Jeff Tarpinian (knee) as probable for the game.

Our buddies with the stadium pool and awesome owner mustache had a surprising game last week, coming back to overtake the New York Giants and getting their second win of the season. Gus Bradley ruled DE Andre Branch (groin) and LB Khairi Fortt (hamstring) out for the game on Friday, and listed LB LaRoy Reynolds (neck) and WR Tommy Streeter (abdominal strain) as questionable. Their 1.3 pick, QB Blake Bortles (right shoulder, left ankle), DE Chris Clemons (knee), S Josh Evans (foot), LB Jeremiah George (ankle), RB Toby Gerhart (shoulder) and DT Sen'Derrick Marks (foot) were listed as probable.
