Monday Night Football Open Thread: Falcons at Packers

Julio Jones and the Atlanta Falcons head to Lambeau for the Week 14 edition of Monday Night Football. Discuss the game in this BRB Open Thread!

Jason Getz-USA TODAY Sports

The Falcons head into this game at 5-7, winners of three of their last four games, with a couple time management related coaching blunders being the only thing separating them from a five game win streak. Despite the overall poor record ,they still hold a half game lead in the South over the New Orleans Saints.

Unfortunately for the Falcons, this is about the worst matchup they could've hoped for as they try to build a cushion in the division. The Packers are rolling right now, with eight wins in their last 9 games. They're also in possession of arguably the best quarterback and passing offense in the NFL, while the Falcons are last in the league in opposing pass yards allowed. As a Falcons fan, I'm expecting Aaron Rodgers to do things to us that will make Olivia Munn jealous.

One fun storyline to watch out for is how the Matthews Melee plays out. Falcons rookie LT Jake Matthews (son of former Houston great Bruce Matthews) and Packers LB Clay Matthews are cousins; they are playing each other for the first time in the NFL, so it should be fun to see how that goes down.

Talk about Monday NIght Football here.
