Fresh off a loss in the AFC Championship Game, the New England Patriots make their selection in the 2014 Battle Red Blog Mock Draft. Who's shipping up to Boston?

37bp is wearing Uggs as he strides to the podium in the 2014 Battle Red Blog Mock Draft, ready to proclaim who shall become the newest Patriot.

With the 29th pick of the 2014 BRB Mock Draft, the New England Patriots select Jason Verrett (CB--TCU).

Verrett was a very solid CB for the TCU Horned Frogs. He displayed great coverage skills, putting a blanket on opposing WRs. He has great hands that will help him snag a few interceptions, and he excels in man-to-man coverage. Although his relatively small size (5'10", 189 lbs.) is a concern, the Patriots are in need of a corner who can contribute quickly in light of Aqib Talib signing with the Broncos.
