Three Texans Crack The Top 50 Player Merchandise Sales For 2014

You've been waiting for it all year and it's finally arrived. The suspense and speculation has been as thick as Charley Casserly's hair piece. No, it's not the NFL Draft, but the NFLPI's list of the best-selling player-related merchandise for 2014. Take a quick guess as to which Texans made the list and where they land before scrolling down.

Might want to hang on to those signed #99 jerseys, folks.

Released earlier today by the NFL Players Inc, the money-making arm of the NFL Players Association, was this press sheet detailing the best-selling player merchandise (like murals, figurines, jerseys, etc.) from March 1, 2013 to February 28, 2014. Have a look below.

[Edit: Mentioned before it was just jersey sales, but the list reflects all player-related merchandise].

50. Luke Kuechly, Carolina Panthers

Media darling and future Nobel Peace Prize winner, J.J. Watt, narrowly missed the top 10, but has the honor of being the most popular defensive player in terms of merchandise sales on the list. Arian Foster is the third most popular running back behind Marshawn Lynch and Adrian Peterson, while Andre Johnson sits at 38. It's disgusting that one-year wonder Miles Austin is ahead of him at 34. It just goes to show the selling power that the Cowboys possess.

Other than Brian Cushing perhaps, there are no other Texans worth making this list. Cushing's rise to stardom has been hampered by freak leg injuries.

Also, call me crazy, but I assume Matt Schaub jerseys probably round out the Top 500 list from fiscal year 2010 to 2014.

We now continue our regularly scheduled draft speculation, already in progress.
