With the 181st pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, the Houston Texans selected running Alfred Blue, a running back out of Louisiana State University.
At 6-2, 223 pounds, Alfred Blue is a big ol' boy, but the word on him is he has good speed for a guy his size and that makes him effective as a potential thunder to Arian Foster's lightning. His size could also mean he could be a fullback-esque guy for Bill O'Brien. Blue only averaged 52 carries a year at LSU, so he's not a worn out running back by any means.
Blue saw limited time at LSU due to an ACL injury in 2012 and then was buried on the depth chart by a glut of running backs, but he'll have ample opportunity to compete in Houston to play special teams and stick as one of Arian Foster's understudies.
Thoughts on Alfred Blue? Does he give you the blues because you were jonesing for another pick or are you okay with this move?
