2014 NFL Draft: How Battle Red Blog Will Cover It

If you're wondering how your favorite SB Nation site about the Houston Texans is going to cover the 2014 NFL Draft beginning this evening, wonder no more. Battle Red Blog has your answers.

Why, that doesn't look like Teddy Bridgewater at all. WHO APPROVED THIS?

At 7 p.m. CDT tonight, the 2014 NFL Draft will officially get underway. That means things are liable to get somewhat intense around here (moreso than usual) at approximately 7 p.m. CDT.

The first live open thread for the 2014 NFL Draft will post at 6:45 p.m. CDT. We'll add additional open threads as necessary throughout the evening so everyone can comment and interact to their heart's content in real time. Speaking of commenting, I've asked everyone on staff to be vigilant about making sure the community guidelines are obeyed. If they are not, bans will come swiftly, so please be forewarned.

NOTE: Please do not post or comment on any of the selections before Roger Goodell announces them on the television broadcast. I know that news about who's been picked will be broken before an official announcement is made (especially on Twitter). Please do not spoil it for those of us who want to find out the old fashioned way. If you fail to honor this request, YOU WILL BE BANNED FOR THE NIGHT.

In addition to the open threads, we'll have posts for you to react to any Texans moves, whether they are draft picks or trades. Given the unpredictable nature of the draft, it's impossible to say when or if those posts occur. If the Texans keep that first overall pick, however, one such post should publish at approximately 7:10 p.m. CDT. Mark your calendars accordingly.

Finally, I'm planning on tweeting my thoughts and reactions to what the Texans do, as well as various other draft observations, on BRB's official Twitter account here (while watching the television coverage, naturally; I won't be checking my timeline to tip picks ahead of Goodell's announcements). That will probably be your best bet to see me virtually weep in real time when Teddy Bridgewater gets picked by another team and/or to read my latest variation of "Case McCoy is the best player available!" jokes throughout the evening.
