Well, we all knew it would come to this one day. We saw the contract that was signed and connected the dots. We saw the lack of real competition at the spot and assumed it would come down like this. But you never know how you're going to react until it actually happens. It's happened and it's official: Ryan Fitzpatrick will be the starter for your Houston Texans.

In his press conference today, Bill O'Brien said firmly that "he's earned it," suggesting that he wasn't just given the spot due to his veteran status and contract but rather the work that he's put in so far. This changes nothing for T.J. Yates and Case Keenum who are still duking it out for the third QB spot. Rookie Tom Savage is presumed safe.

Predictably, some fans on The Twitter were upset and vented their frustration at the worrisome situation at quarterback. The one reaction we're all waiting for, however, is from one Andre Johnson, who was absent today, as expected. I'm thinking that his issue with the team goes far beyond the quarterback. Rebuilding yet again is not something he wants to go through,
We're living in this world right now, Texans fans. Let us know how you feel about it down below.
