The details of the contract have been released:
Veteran RB Ronnie Brown's 1-year deal with the Texans?src=hash">#Texans is worth $855,000. Counts $570,000 vs. cap.

None of it is guaranteed, so it's a "pay as you go" deal that protects the team while hopefully adding some talent to spell Arian Foster and Jonathan Grimes. We'll see if Brown makes the 53-man roster, or if he is just a camp body. As good as Alfred Blue has been so far, I'm not convinced Brown will make it. My best guess at running back depth for the final roster is Foster, Grimes and Blue.
You may recall that earlier this week, the Texans released Andre Brown and Dennis Johnson after bringing in Ronnie Brown, Brian Leonard, and William Powell for workouts.
The Texans also signed Houston native William Powell after his workout, but those contract details have not been revealed yet. I wouldn't expect Powell to make the 53-man roster, and he is likely just another body for training camp activities.
Now if only we could see some improvement at the quarterback and defensive back positions. Was this a prudent move? Do you think Ronnie Brown will be a contributor in the regular season? What say you?
