For the vast majority of the first half tonight, your Houston Texans did not let the AFC Champion Denver Broncos embarrass them. Indeed, the Texans looked downright legitimate.

Then, with less than two minutes left in the second quarter, the Texans looked like every bit of the 2-14 disaster they were a year ago.

After leading 7-3 late in the second quarter--again, with less than two minutes left--the Texans found themselves trailing 17-7 at half.

At that point, it was all over but the crying.

Until Tom Savage entered the game, with his trusty sidekick, Travis Labhart.  They proceeded to dissect the Denver defense. After Case Keenum managed to lead Houston to a field goal, Savage marched the Texans down the field on a game-winning drive late in the fourth quarter that was capped with a touchdown catch by Ryan Griffin. The final box score and play-by-play summary can be found here.

Talk about who impressed you (Ricardo Mathews? Alfred Blue? A.J. Bouye? Travis Labhart? Ryan Griffin? Tom Savage?) and who didn't, as well as any other reaction you have to what you saw tonight, in the Comments below. This is your postgame discussion thread for Texans-Broncos.
