Houston Texans To Re-Sign Danieal Manning

You read that right. Cut earlier this offseason in a salary cap move, the Houston Texans and Danieal Manning are apparently about to reunite.

Five months to the day after the Houston Texans cut him, Danieal Manning has apparently agreed to return to Houston, Brian T. Smith reports. From D. Manning's agent:

Agent Russel Hicks said the Texans and Manning agreed to a deal in principle Sunday morning.

"He’s excited," Hicks said. "He’s jacked. He’s ecstatic."

The Texans cut safety Chris Clemons on Sunday, opening room for Manning.

I believe it was William Shakespeare who wrote, "Free agency acquaints a man with strange bedfellows."
