A year ago, Matt Schaub was the Texans' starting quarterback and Antonio Smith was one of the Texans' starting defensive ends. Today, they'll be on the sideline opposite from Houston, and I know I'll feel a bit nostalgic seeing them in something other than steel blue, battle red, and liberty white. Nevertheless, Schaub and Smith have become the enemy, so they are destined to be on the losing end this afternoon.
So sayeth a fan of the worst team in the entire NFL last year. A team that managed to lose fourteen (14!) games in a row after staring out 2-0. To say my confidence is irrational and misplaced is entirely fair, unless you believe that the cosmos owes Texans fans something, and that retribution must be delivered at the hands of a Carr.
This is your first open thread for the Week Two battle between your Houston Texans and the Oakland Raiders. May your comments flow like wine.
