If the Philadelphia Eagles beat the Indianapolis Colts on Monday Night Football this evening, we'll be living in a world where your Houston Texans have a two game lead over the defending AFC South champions.
As Texans fans are all too aware after last year's debacle, it is entirely possible to lose the next fourteen (14!) games in a row, so any talk of a return to the postseason for Houston would remain premature. Nevertheless, I think William Shakespeare said it best:
'Tis better to have a two game lead in September in the AFC South,
Than never to have a two game lead at all.
Besides, if nothing else, tonight will be a fine time to cheer for DeMeco Ryans, Connor Barwin, James Casey, Bryan Braman, Andrew Gardner, Donnie Jones, Jeff Maehl, and Wade Smith as you did back in the days B.B.O.B. when they were all Houston Texans. It is incumbent upon those gentlemen to do something they never could when they were playing here: Beat the Colts in Indianapolis.
This is your open thread for Eagles-Colts on Monday Night Football. Away we go.
