Despite D.J. Swearinger leaving the Texans' win over the Raiders early with an apparent elbow injury, Bill O'Brien dubbed Swearinger as "fine" in his Monday press conference. Judging by Swearinger's comments to the media today, it appears that Swearinger does plan to play on Sunday when the Texans shoot for 3-0 against the Giants in New Jersey.

Bill O'Brien undeniably appreciated Swearinger's assessment of his present condition, as reflected by O'Brien's acknowledgement that the safety somehow found time to graduate from medical school.

Here's hoping Swearinger plays on Sunday and continues to show he's made great strides since his rookie season. And that O'Brien keeps up the smart aleck remarks whenever possible.
