Your Houston Texans find themselves at MetLife Stadium today, as the schedule has decreed that they must battlefight the New York Giants today.

The Texans, winners of two games all of last season, seek their third win of the 2014 season today. They'll try to do it without their star running back, as Arian Foster has been ruled out for today's game.

The Giants, on the other hand, look to keep from slipping into an 0-3 hole to start the year. It's slightly hyperbolic to call a game in the third week of the season a "must-win," but history suggests that a team's chances of making the playoffs after an 0-3 start are extremely low. With only 16 games each year, every game is a big game, but today's contest is monstrous for the Giants. The Texans, on the road, could well be facing the equivalent of an early season kitchen sink from Eli Manning & Co. this afternoon.

This is your first open thread for the Week Three game between your Houston Texans and the Giants of New York/New Jersey. Let your comment flag wave freely.
