According to ESPN’s Field Yates, the Texans may be looking to bolster their defensive line.
One more notable recent tryout: NT Ryan Pickett tried out for the Texans. Veteran started 16 games for Green Bay in 2013.

Pickett, a 35 year old veteran who carries a whopping 340 pounds on his 6’2" frame, is likely being looked at as an option to help a (thus far) dreadful Texans run defense in the wake of poor performances from Jerrell Powe and Jared Crick.
Houston is currently ranked 25th in rushing yards allowed per game at 141. Last season in Green Bay, where Pickett started all 16 games, the Packers also finished the season 25th in run defense, allowing 125 yards a game respectively. Whether Pickett could improve a defensive line that is seemingly toothless outside of the incomparable J.J. Watt is up in the air, but it is telling that the front office is already looking at other options.
UPDATE: The Texans signed Pickett after placing Louis Nix on IR.
