Welcome To The 72nd Annual Battle Red Blog "Introduce Yourself Or Get Out!" Thread!

The 2014 season officially kicks off for the Houston Texans this Sunday at NRG Stadium, and our readings indicate there are hundreds, if not thousands, of you lurking right at this very second. Come out of the shadows, you perverts.

Get the hell out of there, lurker.
Get the hell out of there, lurker.
Sam Greenwood

Can you feel it, Texans fans? The tension is palpable. We're about 50 or so hours from the first Texans game of the year! It's a little staggering, but Battle Red Blog has been growing by leaps and bounds the past year. Despite the fact that the team finished with a 2-14 record last year (again), traffic through the website has increased exponentially the past twelve months. That means a lot of new faces, which means there's no better time for another introduction post.

So tell us...

...what's your favorite Texans memory?

...are you the biggest Texans fan in your family? Why the hell not?

...how many games have you attended?

...how long have you been visiting Battle Red Blog?

...how'd you hear about us?

...where were you on the night of September 8, 2002?

...what's your A/S/L?

I'll start.

One of my flavor-ite Texans memories was way back during the 2008 season. Matt Schaub and the Texans capped off a thrilling comeback drive with an improbable QB draw from the three-yard line to take the lead with just a few seconds left. Or how about T.J. Yates leading yet another improbable comeback against the Cincinnati Bengals with the AFC South on the line?Or how about the Texans leading a 24-minute (approximately) opening touchdown drive against the Pittsburgh Steelers back in 2011? Too many to choose from.

I'm definitely the biggest Texans fan in my family, because football doesn't exactly mean football when we get together, if you know what I mean.

I've been on this Durga-forsaken blog on and off for about five years now, but mostly as a lurker. I've had the pleasure of writing for you fine folks for the past two, and it's actually opened up a few doors for me, so I'm very thankful for the opportunity. Reading BRB became habitual because of MDC's brilliant Two-Day Hangover articles. You might've heard about him yesterday. Stick around BRB if only for these.

Back in September of 2002, I was probably uncomfortably fidgeting on my couch uncomfortably whilst ogling Jennifer Aniston in a rerun of Friends. I was not yet initiated into my hardcore Texans fandom.

So yeah, there's me. Now it's your turn dear readers, old and new. The floor is yours. Introduce yourself or GTFO.
