Jadeveon Clowney was visibly upset as he headed to the locker room late in the second quarter of today's win over Washington, and it has now been confirmed that he sustained a torn lateral meniscus in his knee. It is being reported that he will have surgery tomorrow; that will determine the extent of the injury and when he may return. This news definitely sours the victory a bit, and we will be on pins and needles until we hear an update on how much time Clowney will miss before returning to action. The best guess at this stage is about 4 to 6 weeks.
The tweets reporting the news:

Clowneys surgery scheduled for Monday. Lowe will perform. Check Mcl and meniscus. Can't tell time out until post surgery.

Meniscus surgery could be simple or complicated . Depends on what they see.. typical 4-6 wks if it's just snipped out. #Texans
