I suppose this qualifies as good news, considering the possibility the Houston Texans could have been without their No. 1 pick for much, much longer.
#Texans' Bill O'Brien on Jadeveon Clowney: "He underwent arthroscopic surgery this morning. He'll probably be out 4-6 weeks." #NFL

#Texans' O'Brien said Clowney came down awkwardly on tape. Didn't say anything to O'Brien about the turf.

That news means the Texans are planning to be sans Clowney for at least their games against the Raiders, Giants, Bills, and Cowboys. Given that their Week Six game against the Colts is a Thursday nighter and the team has a mini-bye because of it, the Texans could well decide to rest Clowney until they travel to Pittsburgh for Monday Night Football against the Steelers on October 20th.
This is all, of course, dependent on how Clowney responds to the surgery and the rehab process. Nothing is written in stone.
