On the heels of Mel Kiper's first mock draft of 2015, NFL.com's Daniel Jeremiah has his initial guess at who's going where in the 2015 NFL Draft. You can read his first round mock draft in its entirety here. Or, if you're only interested in what he says the Houston Texans will do, Jeremiah says:
16. Andrus Peat (OT--Stanford)
I was a bit disappointed after studying Peat, but he has excellent size, quick feet and football smarts. He’s young and should continue to develop.
This strikes me as a curious pick. While I am a proponent of building depth along both lines, I'm skeptical the Texans would use a first-rounder on a developmental tackle with Duane Brown and, assuming he re-signs, Derek Newton firmly established as starters. I expect Bill O'Brien & Co. to draft an offensive lineman or two, but I don't see it happening in the first round.
