The Texans announced today that offensive tackle Duane Brown, originally named an alternate to the 2015 Pro Bowl, will now play in the game. Brown is replacing Eagles offensive tackle Jason Peters.

This is Brown's third consecutive election to the Pro Bowl. Brown joins fellow Texans defensive end J.J. Watt and running back Arian Foster at the Pro Bowl. Foster has already bowed out of competition because of health concerns. Watt was selected as an active player team captain.

In 2014, the Texans' offensive line ranked in the top five in rushes for first downs (27) and rushes for 10-plus yards (26) to the left side of the line - the side anchored by Duane Brown.

Like last season, the Pro Bowl teams will not be conference affiliated. The teams will be by selected by a collection of current and past player headed by Michael Irvin and Chris Carter.

The Pro Bowl will be played on January 21 at 7:00 PM on NFL Network from the University of Phoenix Stadium, site of Super Bowl XLIX.
